Problem Statement

For individuals having trouble sending or receiving money from others conveniently in one central location, there is a pressing issue for an e-wallet app that offers a secure platform to securely send, receive, and keep all your cards in one place. Well, know this is true when the popularity of PlutoPay rises and more reviews of the platform increase.

How it began….

Research and Analysis

Starting in November 2022, a thorough competitive analysis was undertaken to gain a comprehensive understanding of the market landscape and identify opportunities for improvement, focusing on two prominent financial apps: Paypal and Chase Banking. By closely examining their core objectives, overall strategies, and market advantages, a comprehensive SWOT analysis was conducted for each app. Furthermore, a detailed UX analysis was performed on Paypal, which emerged as the most competitive app in the study. Leveraging the valuable insights from this analysis, the aim was to capitalize on the identified weaknesses and opportunities, ultimately developing an enhanced and superior version known as PlutoPay.

User Persona Overview & User Journey

Introducing Gary and Heidi, the carefully crafted personas embody the target audience of PlutoPay. These personas were meticulously developed through extensive research and analysis, considering potential users' essential needs, motivations, and frustrations. Gary and Heidi seek an all-in-one app that caters to their unique lifestyles, offering a range of features. From effectively managing their expenses to conveniently accessing their bank accounts, PlutoPay stands as the ideal solution, poised to fulfill their requirements and surpass their expectations.

A strategically crafted sitemap was developed to provide a comprehensive overview of the design structure for PlutoPay. This sitemap serves as a visual representation, outlining the various pages, sections, and overall navigation flow that users can expect within the PlutoPay application. It offers a clear and organized layout, enabling stakeholders to grasp the overall structure and hierarchy of the app's design.

Early Fidelity Prototype

To gather valuable user feedback and conduct thorough testing, I developed a rapid prototype for PlutoPay. This fidelity model served as a basis for users to interact with the app and provide insightful feedback.

Results

After conducting thorough usability testing and carefully analyzing the feedback received, I systematically arranged every detail into comprehensive tables. This enabled me to gain insights into the problem of the application's lack of visual appeal and addressed the need to inform first-time users about the app and its features. By following this process, I prioritized and ranked the identified issues from the most critical to the least significant. Armed with this valuable information, I revisited the prototype of PlutoPay and implemented necessary revisions and improvements, ensuring a refined and enhanced user experience.

Hi-Fidelity Prototype

Following the exact resolution of errors and the incorporation of valuable feedback, I proudly present the new and improved high-fidelity prototype for PlutoPay. This refined version reflects the culmination of iterative design and enhancements, incorporating user-centered improvements to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience. The high-fidelity prototype showcases a polished and visually appealing interface, accurately representing the final product and demonstrating the careful consideration given to user feedback throughout the design process.
